As fans of the show will testify, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is one of the best and most underrated comedy offerings around these days. A Netflix favourite throughout the world, we follow five of the most sordid characters in television history as they attempt to run the Irish-themed Paddy's Pub in Philly.
‘Sunny' also contains some hilarious ancillary characters, but none can match the shenanigans of our leads. Here are just a few of the gang's best moments.

15) Mac and Charlie stare down.
When Dennis and Mac dine at an upmarket restaurant to share some alone time, they are shocked to find that Charlie and Frank are too in attendance, marking a special occasion of their own. With neither pair willing to greet the other first, cue one of the most awkward/hilarious stare downs in history between Mac and Charlie.
14) Charlie's Kitten Mittens vision.
Nowhere is Charlie more comfortable then when completing his unofficial janitorial duties. However, when not consumed in this unforgiving task the industrious Mr. Kelly enjoys a business venture or two. This, incredibly, was one of his better ideas.
13) The Chardee MacDennis dance.
During a particularly quiet day in Paddy's Pub the gang decide to reintroduce their favourite, and very unique, board game. The intensity of this 'game' is summed up during the compulsory dance-off between each round.
12) Dennis and Sweet Dee's health craze takes an ugly turn.
The Reynolds siblings are determined to sculpt the ultimate physique. As soon as their bodies are perfected the only logical progression is to keep their faces young. Sweet Dee's medical skills are there for all to see when she attempts a spot of botox on her brother.
11) When Frank pretends he has lost his mind. Rar lab download.
Dennis and Dee's father (or maybe not) Frank is many a bad thing, but one thing he's not is stupid. He fools the gang into thinking he is gradually losing his mind, epitomised in this father-daughter back and forth.
The episode's finale makes this moment all the sweeter for Frank.
10) Sweet Dee's inflatable dance-off.
The gang charmingly compare Dee's features to that of a bird on a regular basis. They also pick up on her rather unique dance moves. Dance moves which can only be compared to this chap. Dee finally relents to the comparison in this hypnotic and bizarre moment.
9) The gang's 'Flipadelphia' tactics.
What happens when the gang faces an even more ruthless contingent than them in the legendary 'Flipadelphia' (flip cup) contest? They poison them (and Sweet Dee, naturally) of course. A great bunch of lads. This moment also includes an oddly catchy victory song.
8) The fleeting moment when the ‘Waitress' reciprocates Charlie's love.
One of the running themes throughout ‘Sunny' is Charlie's unrequited love for the girl simply known as the ‘Waitress'. She has been around the block but Charlie still can't win her over. However, a chance meeting in Jersey Shore changes everything….for one drug-fueled night. Nice while it lasted though. Poor aul' Charlie.
What makes this storyline even better is knowing that the two are married in real life. Charlie Kelly would be oh so jealous of Charlie Day.

7) 'Wildcard b*****s!'.
Few words needed for this entry. Handed the role as the ‘wildcard' by the gang during an oil scheme designed to make quick cash, Charlie takes his new found position to the extreme. It's the spontaneity of the moment that makes it so great.
6) Mac's controversial turn in ‘blackface'.
Mac does nothing by halves. Whether it's conducting ‘ocular pat downs', ‘cultivating mass' or acting in the gang's productions of Lethal Weapon 5 and 6. The moment he utters 'Go suck an egg' is a genuine laugh out loud moment and emphasises the ridiculous nature of the show.
5) Dee's not-so great escape.
This is gloriously simple. Sweet Dee purchases some very expensive clobber which she unsurprisingly cannot pay for at the checkout. What happens next is one of the most amazing failed attempts at a getaway and one of the programme's funniest ever moments.

4) The 'implication'.
The word has now taken on a whole new meaning to fans of the show. When the gang invests in a boat, Dennis reveals his extra-curricular intentions with his female guests aboard their new vessel.

It's the look of terrifying determination on the face of Dennis combined with Mac's slow realisation that Dennis may actually be a sociopath that makes this moment comedy gold. He would never do anything of course, but there is the implication.
3) Pepe Silvia.
Charlie and Mac take minimum wage office jobs in order to secure health insurance. When the pressure becomes overbearing on Charlie down in the mail room he explodes in what is arguably his finest moment. The scene combines Charlie's manic energy and illiteracy issues in a wonderfully self-destructive mash-up.
2) The D.E.N.N.I.S. system.
The fantastic element of this moment is the cocksure confidence that Dennis has in the D.E.N.N.I.S. system. As the scene progresses it becomes obvious to the gang and viewer the depths at which Dennis will go to secure a woman's heart. It's all about demonstrating value, y'see.
1) Dayman.
Charlie, Mac and Frank form a band only for the former to leave over creative differences. When the previously ostracised Dennis meets with the banished Charlie, the duo create a musical classic. Eventually, the whole gang write a play based on the song in what quickly became the show's unofficial theme.
